Safari browser for Windows Xp/Vista. At the WWDC 2007, Steve Jobs announced as of June 11, 2007 a Safari 3 Beta (Macs Browser) would be released to Microsoft’s Windows Xp and Vista. The Safari beta version 3.0.1 for Windows had several known bugs. After Safari’s release to Windows (June 11, 2007) only three days later on June 14, 2007 these bugs were corrected by Apple. On June 22, 2007, Apple released the next edition (Safari 2.0.2) to address the remaining bugs, performance issues and some security issues.
My personally experience with the browser…I can’t complain. I downloaded it on June 12, 2007. Installed it. Tested it. Uninstalled it on June 15, 2007. Reasons being I chose Maxthon. There is nothing that I saw wrong with Safari. I just have more of a liking for Maxthon. I chose Maxthon for the reason they say Safari is faster then IE (Internet Explorer) but slower then Maxthon. It just makes the most sense to me even though I did like Safari for Windows Maxthon is faster then both. Would I try it again? Without a doubt! Right now I am enjoying my Maxthon experience. Do any of you have any story about your Safari experiences?

Some people have been telling me when they go to shutdown there operating system they notice that it shuts down slower then when it booted. There is a program Microsoft UPHClean (User Profile Hive Cleanup Service) It will help your PC speed up the shutdown process. There are mainly reason it could take a long time for the computer to shutdown. Viruses, spyware, open programs (shutting down while still having programs open) your computer may struggle while trying to shutdown with them still up and open. The program can be download from Microsoft. The installation is easy and straightforward. Sadly the program is not supported in Windows Vista operating system.

A number of times I misplaced (Deleted) my show desktop icon in the toolbar. So
now what? How do I get it back there? It’s Easy!
Here is how you do it:
Click Start and open Notepad
Click Enter
In Notepad, type the following text
[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=Explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
On the file menu, click Save As, and then save the file to your desktop as Show Desktop.scf
Use the mouse to drag the Show Desktop.scf icon to the Quick Launch toolbar or another location where you want the shortcut to appear.
Make sure the toolbar is NOT locked.

Tonight, Tonight is all about Linux. The free operating system that I mentioned about in my Windows Vista rant from the other night. Linux is a 100% Free operating system. You can either download it or pay the S&H for a cd/dvd. There are many different types of Linux, from Suse, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc. More then I can think of right now. Linux also has a live cd. Using the live cd you can boot up into the OS without using your HD. While using the live cd you can take a look around to see if you like it or not. No harm done. All you have to do is take it out of the cd/dvd drive. I have used Suse, and Ubuntu. Both I like. I tend to like Suse a little better. Linux is a great OS. I haven’t seen anything wrong with it at this point. Though if you are going to Linux after using Windows or Mac it will seem difficult, but a few days of using it you will be able to use it in your sleep.

A lot of things don’t shock me anymore when it comes to computers, software, and operating systems.
As we all know there has been tons of bad news from Microsoft users about Windows Vista. Many people have been saying they can’t wait until SP1 (Service Pack 1) comes out for Vista. They say many of the Vista problems will be fixed. Microsoft said it is due out in late 2007. Sadly that is NOT the case now. It isn’t due out now until 2009 if not later. That is coming directly from Microsoft.
I think that is terrible. The first service two years after the operating system comes out. Two years! If this is the future of Microsoft maybe it should just close shop. I don’t really know what to say about Microsoft any longer. So from hearing this, how do you feel? Almost everyone who is currently using Vista has said their PCs are under attack with bugs, and problems with programs. Where do we go from here if we have to wait till 2009 or even later? Is it only to get worse? Do we downgrade back to Windows XP, or do we just give up on Microsoft?
Better yet Microsoft, will be extending support for Windows XP until 2014, so what does that mean? Does it mean it will get worse? I have a feeling that might be the case for the next few years. Microsoft was planning on releasing the next Windows operating system Windows 7, which supposedly will only be released as a 64 bit version in 2010; evidently that will not be happening either.
It seems that Microsoft says a few things each month and all of them crash around it. It is very sad. I grew up on Windows. Windows 3.1 was the first operating system I ever used. I was always very pleased with Windows. I was even happy when Windows XP first came out. Since Windows Vista came out it is getting harder and harder to feel the same about Windows. I am currently using Vista now as my main operating system; I am happy with Aero the sidebar, pretty much everything that I can see. Keep in mind I said ‘That I can see.” I am not sure how I feel about the actual program. I don’t feel as safe as I did even on Windows XP. How do you all feel about this?
